GDD 202 Final Project

Here are my props for GDD 202.  the first one is my first attempt at making a rifle, especially my favorite assault rifle to-date. The texture work flow was interesting because of how complex the object was, I went through the photoshop method of taking a uv-snapshot then throwing it into photoshop.

the next Image was of a semi-auto glock, which in my opinion came out much better then my M4.  although i used maya to bake out my textures on to a UV set.

My Glock has a 1308 poly count and my m4 rifle at 3581 poly count

Game Prop Resource Gathering

these are tow item that i want to incorporate into unity for a game, because a player could use both in any scenario.  the game could be both 3rd person or a 1st person game.  either would work well.  I like the glock because its a simple object that's very basic at its core but has refined edges. I chose the assault rifle of the M4 because its military standard and it looks bad-ass as well as a great starting weapon.  the curves on the M4 are minimal but it still has alot of detail when it comes to the upper half and the back half can be modified to look a certain way to allow for a class differentiation, also there are a lot of material that can be used for the M4.  The beginning of the barrel where the block is i can do modifications such as a laser or a flash light that could be rigged to function or could be just for show.

As for my other objects that i want to incorporate into my game, could be a barrel such as the one shown or barricade for cover. I want to player to use the objects for cover and game play reasons.

Midterm- final pic

Here is the final picture, i edited the final picture to look like it was looking out to the back porch.  hope you enjoy it

Pre-final

this is the fully textured room.  although the textures are way too shiny to be realistic, as the viewer can see the floor is almost like a mirror in which they can see the bottom cabinets in the floor.  also the refrigerator is too shiny, and the lights are all blown out. this is my pre-beauty shot, in which i plan on fixing the shiny things

Pre-final Beauty shot

This is the pre-beauty shot that has a lot of textures that are blown out by the lights.  most of the textures are really shiny or even too shiny to be called "realistic".  I put in an ambient light that is probably too strong to for my purposes, along with the portal light that is in the door way to allow for light to come in like actual sun light.  Also the floor looks to much like a "icy" floor that is dirty with some lines.  another problem is the mirror like refrigerator, in which the viewer can see the granite top to the cabinets.  i wanna fix all the little things before getting this beauty shot out

Arc week viz 3

With my post i decided to model a microwave that is connected to the cabinets that are raised off the ground and underneath is cabinets with a countertop which might be akward to texture but ill get through it.  I decided to to a small room right before the kitchen to put coats or keys.  also made a table with some chairs but i wanted to make the chairs unique so i pulled some of the back pieces to make it look interesting.
